That if photos or video of them exist at the occupation, their insurers might not insure them?

Because who knows what happened with those trucks down there. Dirty fuel, idling way too long, no maintenance at all, extreme cold… if I were an insurer I’d want to have some very good documentation that all is well. I don’t see that being cheap to obtain, I mean, what kind of extensive inspections would be required?

Oh, and Freedom!

Like most Canadians. They want an end to lockdowns. Everyone agrees…its time to manage the endemic. Governments can do that now….because over 80% got vaccinated. The lunatic fringe will always show up and highjack the moment. But if Government steps up…. its because 80% got vaccinated. The unvaccinated needs to know that and “Thank the Vaxed”

If you want to work you need the shot. If you have bills you really don’t have a choice. That’s what the whole issue is. So the CTA and the members can say what they like…this is not really freedom of choice for your own body. Many of your employees took the jab not because they all wanted too, but they have no choice in order to maintain. Just look at your stats…the people that got the jab later on in the pendemic are probably the ones that gave up and got the jab to keep a job.

These big trucking companies will find a lot problems from American truckers when they cross into the US. I think they will need more than vaccinations for their protection. I have been driving to the US for more than 55 years & I know that American truckers totally support the protesters. Plus in case you haven’t noticed some of the borders are now being blocked. I saw a few large fleet trucks at the Coutts, AB blockade. Maybe you will change your tune once the store shelves empty out!

You are speaking with large carriers that represent a very small percentage of the trucking industry. If you were to poll the small to midsized carriers you would see an overwhelming support for the convoy. The big carriers that are tied to the CTA the OTA the PMTC are all a very small segment of the trucking industry. Time to stop playing like the CBC and report the truth.

I was there…plenty of Ontario and Quebec plates. I can’t believe Trucknews has fallen into “views” not “news” category. OTA and CTA does not reflect the majority of truckers. Turn off your TV and watch the coverage from cell phones – thats news in real time raw and unedited.

Oh yah. And they will be fired for that participation? In an industry chronically short of driver spots around 20%. LOL. CTA claims to be up on the stats. The American drivers in cross border work are siignificant. And yankee drivers are only 55% fully vaccinated approximately. We could soon see lots of freight sitting behind at load docks or spoiling (food). Soon any drivers with an active pulse and vaccinated will have a choice of who to work for. Will Markel insure an industry with plenty of 19 to 24 year old cross-border drivers.

Also, a Challenger truck with a ‘Freedom’ flag

Lots of what we used to call; ‘Good Buddy’s’ ..trying to associate themselves with professional drivers. Wall to wall loose cannons.
I suspect by Monday they’ll be trying to get under my fenders.

Many lease ops and company drivers ( some on work permits) have told me if they take 2 weeks to be part of convoy they could be fired. The O T A actions have cut the numbers of trucks involved. After this is over a investigation into fair labor practices should happen.
