If he is under trained blame who gave him the license!!! Even with the MELT system in place who is going to enforce it!!! I dont believe he woke up and said I am going to cause an accident today.

I believe he should be given a second chance. The company that bullied him is the one that should be paying. If I were 30 years younger I would offer him a job.

I don’t think he made this accident on purpose, so this said its the Canadian government responsible for this tragic accident by allowing untrained drivers to hit the road.
The guy only tried to make a living and putting him in a Labour camp is not gonna solve the problem.
I think he is punished enough and has to live with this for the rest of his live..
If bad luck is on your side it could happen to all of us on the road.

We have too many undertrained foreign workers in Canada including truck drivers. We need a 3 month training program for all new drivers plus must be able to read and write in English or French before driving a truck in Canada.

There were many factors in the accident. A trial would have aired these factors, but the trauma to the families would have been excruciating. He “owned” his responsibility and deserves credit for that. Many others would have blamed others and not themselves.
