We should not be bringing in foreign low skilled workers as there is a housing shortage and rent is too much compared to workers wages. We still have over 10 000 too many drivers in Canada.

Making them take the full melt program makes it prohibitive to hiring foreign drivers and the governments will not allow companies to apply for any grants to help with the training. This makes the cost to much to bare and companies struggle to hire foreign drivers because of the rules that govern foreign drivers does not allow you to charge foreign drivers for any costs involved with the program. If they pass the test and are proficient this is no different than a mechanic challenging the test.

Any trucking companies should have pay a extra $10 000 per foreign truck driver unless the driver is on a 8 month April to Dec permit in AG or construction
