What I don`t understand is why we pay a carbon base tax on diesel when the trucks are required to have an after treatment system that make the exhaust out of the tail pipe as clean as the air going in the air filter. Maybe some one can explain this to mw.

I think the carbon tax should be removed from primary food production and off road reefer fuel. I also think natural gas and propane carbon tax on fuel used in transit or transport on the first 100 000 om per unit per yr. The gov of Canada along with a number of groups including certain employers have brought in over 5 million people . This has made a need for major upgrades to transit and 500 000 low income disabled housing units and 1 million affordable housing units. How does the C T A think the gov should replace the carbon tax income by toll roads or higher corp taxes or a wealth tax ?

If the CTA thinks that moron in Ottawa cares about Canadians, especially truckers, they are sadly mistaken. The ONLY way to get rid of that useless carbon tax AND the stupid excise tax is to get rid of Trudeau!
