Rostra offers aftermarket heating and support to seats

Rostra Precision Controls
Rostra Precision Controls has introduced the Comfort Heat and Lumbar Support systems which allows users to add the comfort of heated seats and lower back support to truck cabs.

“Many people aren’t even aware that it’s possible to add aftermarket seat heaters or a lumbar support system to their vehicles,” said Thomas Weiss, Rostra’s vice president, automotive electronics group.

The system offers two means of operation: The standard mode offers a choice of low and high heating zones. The elements supply heat within 60 seconds to both the seat and lower back area, making it ideal for cold weather driving. In any climate, the therapeutic mode allows the user to direct heat only to the lower back, which can provide soothing relief for lower back pain, the company says.

The Lumbar Support System, which also easily installs separately inside the seat, provides additional support behind the lower back, and allows the driver or passenger to set the amount of support needed for individual comfort. The pneumatic support adjusts at the touch of a button on the seat side or center console.

Both the Comfort Heat and Lumbar Support systems install in an hour or less and do not require seat removal.
