Driver Technologies unveils cloud-based video solution
Driver Technologies (Driver), an AI-based mobility tech company that focuses on safe driving, has launched Driver Trucking — a cloud-based video solution for commercial vehicles, leveraging its dash cam Driver app.
The service will provide fleets with a dedicated smartphone device for employees to run a no-touch version of Driver’s dash cam and safety alert app. The device has an unlimited data plan, so once installed, the camera will auto-start and auto-stop recording during a trip, and automatically upload full videos to the cloud for remote viewing.
The solution includes maps and telematics integration, unlimited trip uploads, and a lookback showing a fleet’s trip history. It also provides forward collision warnings with audio and visual alerts. It alerts drivers if they are exhibiting drowsy or distracted behaviors without recording the video. A road safety score is provided after 10 hours of driving.
