Ford rolls out more EV chargers for commercial customers
Ford Pro, the commercial division of Ford Motor Company, has introduced new charging options for fleet customers, including a new Series 2 AC 80-amp charging station and an expanded line of DC fast chargers.
Ford notes commercial fleets plan to charge from private stations 80% of the time. Ford Pro’s new Series 2 charging unit is touted as being easier to use, service and control, featuring a detachable cable and connector, RFID reader, increased connectivity, and over-the-air update capability.
It’s available for pre-order today.

Ford says at the end of the second quarter it saw a 22% increase in customers using Ford Pro charging stations, with more than 4,200 chargers under contract.
“We’re committed to helping businesses make the transition to electric easy with a single-minded focus on curated commercial charging solutions,” said Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO. “With our tailored EV consulting and portfolio of charging hardware and software solutions, we can design, implement and operate solutions for Ford and other brands that will last for many years to come. And we are not afraid to tell customers when electrification is not yet a good fit and support them with other solutions.”
In addition to the Series 2 AC 80-amp charger, Ford Pro is offering extended fast charger options in 180 kW and 240 kW options. They too are currently available for pre-order.
