Tremcar debuts tank trailer with auto-clean filtration system
Tremcar has partnered with Bulk Tank Inc., to develop a pneumatic tank trailer with an auto-clean filtration system.
The trailer was shown for the first time at the recently held National Tank Truck Carriers convention in Indianapolis, Ind. It will be deployed with Tandet Group to reduce loading time and loading costs while eliminating waste.
Tremcar said the features include: eliminating fine particle dust emissions during loading; eliminating messy spills and cleanups from cleaning out plugged filtration canisters; reducing loading time, blower failures and maintenance costs; and eliminating the need for 30- and 40-inch VAC cans with 300-500 tubes for dusty products.
The auto-clean filtration system can slash loading time from up to nine hours, to just one or two hours, the companies claim. And material is recycled back into the tank rather than being ejected during filter cleanings and disposal.
“We are able to modify our drawings easily to incorporate new equipment that will make our customers’ lives easier,” said Corey Kirk, chief engineer at Tremcar. “There is a lot of value in making the auto-clean filtration system our standard on future stock units, it’s definitely on our radar.”
