Doran tire pressure monitoring system now provides temperature alerts
Doran’s tire pressure monitoring system now warns drivers of excess tire heat when temperatures reach 175 F.
Visual and audible warnings are displayed in the cab to alert drivers before a heat-related tire failure occurs, the company says. The tire pressure monitoring system is available for a wide range of applications, including truck, trailer, mixer, dump, bulk, and more.
Fleet managers can sign up to receive alerts and schedule maintenance to extend tire life. Sensors are mounted to the valve stem and an in-cab display is installed so drivers receive real-time alerts.
The Doran 360 system also provides alerts for low inflation pressure and rapid deflation events.
“Maintaining proper tire inflation pressure maximizes the performance of the tire, leading to reduced downtime while improving safety and efficiency,” the company said in a release. “Designed to handle the extreme environmental conditions found on roadways across the nation, Doran tire monitoring systems account for heat, vibration, and the longevity needed for performance on the open road.”
