New winter tire from Yokohama
Yokohama has introduced the new “extreme traction” 907W drive tire for winter conditions.
It replaces the SY7667 and carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, indicating it meets or exceeds performance criteria for severe snow service. It’s available in sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5.
“The new 907W offers significantly longer tread life and better performance in the snow,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial product planning. “With a deeper tread and rugged new compound, fleets can expect to get reliable snow traction and powerful snow braking for multiple winter seasons.”
Features include: 27/32-inch tread depth for longer lasting performance and a new compound that resists scrubbing, cutting and chipping; rib designs for improved snow traction with 3D sipes that provide firm ground contact in snowy and icy conditions; and a four zig-zag groove pattern for efficient water evacuation.
It comes with a seven-year unlimited retread casing warranty.
